NFT-Inator vs UniqMyNFT

The Similarities

Much like the previous blog on Genfty, we were surprised to see the model of this generator. There’s not much to compare between UniqMyNFT and NFT-Inator as it seems UniqMyNFT is built more so for the beginning stages, and lacks in the tools necessary to add to utility such as; smart contracts, rules, token sets, one-of-ones, and etc.

Really, the biggest similarity between NFT-Inator and UniqMyNFT is they made uploading traits to the generator very simple, and efficient. Other then that, I’m struggling to find similarities between the two generators, as I stated before It seems UniqMyNFT is a quick and easy way to export generated artwork and metadata, although creators don’t have the freedom to customize their tokens, and or play with certain traits to achieve their desired outcome.

UniqMyNFT Advantage

While we commend UniqMyNFT for providing their service, and are sure they’ve helped many builders upon the journey of creating a project in the earlier stages, we feel for the paywall set past 100 tokens, there’s much more that needs to be added to the generator in itself.

I’d like to list here that UniqMyNFT has an advantage when it comes to small art collections, however; Unfortunately I feel that the limitations on customizability of creator’s tokens are too great. For example artists via NFT-Inator can utilize the “Prototype Stage” to perfect their traits, and make necessary changes. Popsivly; a user of NFT-Inator and member of our discord said “I can clearly see mistakes I couldn't see in photoshop and where to improve.” and I feel like this is exactly where UniqMyNFT lost me in the generation process.

NFT-Inator Advantages

Like usual, let’s start with UI, and workflow for creators! We feel NFT-Inator’s UI is more efficient in allowing creators to separate certain functions, and maximize their workflow. Within our prototype phase, creators can also look through multiple previews at once seeing how their traits mix together, making changes where necessary. In UniqMyNFT’s case, you can only see one preview at a time of a randomly generated token within the collection, regardless of the collection size, making it very unreliable to preview your artwork as you work. We believe in this case, NFT-Inator’s UI is much more user friendly, and workflow efficient.

One huge advantage NFT-Inator has over UniqMyNFT is the fact that even if a creator was attempting to utilize UniqMyNFT to generate 100 tokens for free; The “UniqMyNFT” watermark isn’t in the description of their token, but rather plastered on top of the creator’s art. The watermark in this case is generic gray text put right over the artwork, and is uncentered leading to a very unprofessional look, and taking away from the original artwork. In the case of NFT-Inator, not only is our watermark in the description of tokens, the watermark is easily removable via tokens earned by completing tasks such as interacting with other users and contributing to socials. Creator’s can also remove the “Powered by NFT-Inator” watermark via the Contract Pass.

Arguably the biggest advantage of utilizing NFT-Inator rather than UniqMyNFT is that creators can launch their entire project via NFT-Inator creating immense utility for their community off the bat. Regarding features, NFT-Inator is a tool many creators use to build upon their initial traits, this is due to our “Prototype Phase” allowing you to move around/mix certain traits, create custom tokens that you want appearing in the final generation, and adding 1of1’s to your collection. UniqMyNFT unfortunately lacks these features, which we feel strongly limits potential user’s creativity, as their platform only allows for pre-made traits being imported, and users don’t have the freedom to rearrange their tokens and or make certain changes to certain tokens.

Another advantage NFT-Inator has over UniqMyNFT is the fact that builders can create multiple token sets. A token set is a collection of tokens that will make up your generated collection. They exist as token sets to enable saving different collections of tokens without overwriting previous ones. This is extra handy if you want to apply different rules or traits to different token sets. For example, we could create a token set for mutant traits in the collection, and another set for the normal artwork. Then you can make adjustments on the fly without losing progress in either section.

In the case of generation, unfortunately the maximum number of tokens creators can download via UniqMyNFT is 100. If you’ve read up on our blog about Genfty, you recognize this number, however; In UniqMyNFT’s case not only is generating a collection past 100 tokens locked behind a paywall, but the free tokens generated also have a watermark over the creator’s artwork.
